Labradorite, with its remarkable play of colour, is a stone of transformation. This multi hued feldspar mineral makes for an ideal companion through change and uncertainty, imparting strength, perseverance and positive thinking. Labradorite was discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in 1770. This is where and when it gets its name, however, the mineral is referenced previously in legends by Inuit tribes, and was known to be in use by the Boethuk peoples of Newfoundland and Labrador.
